damo, it *may* have something to do with the fact your guards just aren't the same shape as the rears, and looks a bit weird.
personally though i just prefer the balance of a 185/60r14 on the front, has a good balanced profile to it. a 185/60r14 on an 8.5 just skew's it a little.
but i duno, show me/us pics and then we can decide what works/what doesn't.
