i like the sexiness, the flat torque curves and the sound.

The same way a VL commodore will always beat a r31 skyline, as any bogan at the pub can tell you. I provided stats, you provided theory . Btw, I prefer piston motors.

some of those aircraft are built specifically for rotary engines, some are converted.

End of the story is, 4 strokes are better, thats why they are more commonly used.

rotors make a fuckload of torque, just higher up, obviously not a 12a, but a 13bt with a decent port and matched turbo with non excessive boost and a good tune will make great power.

    reliability is another question,

gunner might be getting confused with "radial" engines?

    uhm...

    a rotary engine IS a 4 stroke...

    Intake
    Compression
    Power
    Exhaust

    4 cycles, aka, 4 stroke

    no they are not.

Im not confused with a radial engine, a radial engine, which is sometimes known as a rotary, the pistons remain stationary, and the bores move

please explain how a rotary engine is not a 4 stroke engine then?

    Rotary engines have 4 cycles

    Intake
    Compress
    Combustion
    Exhaust

    that is 4 cycles

With the reliability, the only viable information I found was that they need more attention, and only become trademark unreliable when this is ignored. I.e. they need regular maintenance more so than a piston engine.

    But seriously, FC or jzz30?
