Gearbox, any GL-4 gear oil will be fine. Get the thinnest GL-4 you see on the shelf to help old syncros work. Or you can use Dextron III as a thinner alternative.

Diff, any GL-5 gear oil will be fine. Get the thickest GL-5 on the shelf to help with a old noisy diff. Get the LSD spec oil (eg, Valvoline LS90) if you have a LSD, which will cost a little more that the regular GL-5 stuff.

If you have a noise in your diff or gearbox, it is highly unlikely that different oil will fix it.
