hi mate,
i am in the process of doing the same dizzy swap.
search the tech section for a topic on electronic dizzy. has all the answers you seek!
hey guys,
Did a search but couldnt find anything.
tomorrow i am grabbing a few parts so i can finish tuning my 4ac in my ae71.
i've read in a previous post/thread that the dizzy in a FWD 4ac ae82 will bolt into my RWD 4ac(correct?) -- i was going to do the points in my car but would prefer the electric one.
now, are they all the same dizzy caps? (4age, RWD 4ac &FWD 4ac) and rotor button too?
need to know because i will try and pick one up from a wrecker tomorrow.
Thanks heaps guys!
ben.

i found a link to rollaclub, witch has all the wiring diagrams (which i have saved) but it says nothing about whats parts i can use - thats the info i need.
Can i use my origianal coil?
and are any of the caps and rotor buttons interchangable?
and i can use origianal leads, yes?

no, you can not use your original ADM AE86 coil.
-must use ae82 electronic dizzy coil. or have been told that you can use a older ford falcon coil but modifying the wiring.
caps and rotor buttons are not interchangable.
-again must be ae82 electronic dizzy specific.
you can get away with using your exisiting leads from what i can gather.
hope that helps
thanks mate. really helps. i have a ae71 not a 86 toolol.
cheers. ben.

both ADM AE86/AE71 run points dizzy. so both have same outcomes.
