I always needed to use the special KYB gland nuts to fit KYB struts as they are different. The KYB struts have a thinner wall unlike the stock ones that are more tappered. The stock ones should be fairly easy to bore out on a lathe though.
does anyone ever use a different gland nut on their strut tubes ? i got measurement problems after trying to fit kyb agx shocks into my ae86 converted struts.
