off topic but how does it run with the webers?
Hey mate, webers go awesome on the car. After having both an efi and carby setup, the carby setup is much more aggressive. Plus you Dont need that much knowledge to tune them yourself. The power band and pick up are much more urgent, but I do have cams in there aswell. The noise is just rediculously good too...
Drinks a bit of petrol but what tuned car doesn't?

Photos of front and back would be good. Car looks great by the way, very intrigued with the twin carby setup. Was the engine orinally a carby or fuel injected version? I like the idea of no electronics for some reason. Sounds old school I know, but gives the home mechanic a bit more chance fro repair if problems occur.

Yeah maintenance is much easier if you know what you're doing - which isn't hard to learn...
The carby's produce such a nice power, it's the favourite of all the AE86's I've had.... Its RAW!
Love the car mate, thanks for the added pic's. You mention above that it is a bit worse than a fuel injected engine for fuel consumption, what sort of mileage does it get? Have you ever had it dyno'd?
Haven't had it dyno'd, Pete at thornbury carbs is so good at tuning though.
It gets about 450 ks out of a tank... maybe a bit more...
You mention in your first post that you would consider swaps. Is this still the case?
