Default T18 diff: What axle bearing?

    Diff - T18 series 2 diff

    Brakes - st141 discs

Problem - After finding out there are 2 different rear bearings listed for the T18. One is listed as for "most models" and the other is listed for "some models" though the "some models" bearing is the same as the one listed for the rear st141 corona axle.
I dont know what the difference is in the bearings. The only thing i can think of is that the "some models" bearing is for a T18 with standard discs ??????

What bearing did people use when doing the st141 corona rear disc conversion on a T18 diff ???
Any help would be great as i want to get the axles in asap.

Check the toymods thread regarding the corona disc conversion, however i'm fairly sure you use the TE72 bearings. There shouldn't be two listings for the TE72 as they used the same differential for the length of their production run, i.e. early and late TE72's use the same diff.

Cross reference the part number of the bearings with the part number for an RT132 Corona differential, these also use a T series.

    Use those bearings.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

The only two types of T series bearings I've seen are narrow (typically T-18, early celicas, early ae86), and wide (later model ae86 discs).

I think Javal is on the money, cross reference to the suggested corona or an early celica (ra40/60). I would bet it'll be the "most models" bearing.

Nope, i cross referenced it today, and the bearing that is used on all the T series diff ends up being the "some models" T18 rear axle bearing which is WBK2887 (Repco part #)

Then by definition, their listing of "most models" is wrong!

Yeah i called the supplier of the wheel bearings, SKF and after alot of questions and being put on hold they told me that when the listing was done the research obviously wasn't and they would have to get back to me after they find out the details of the different sizes and bearings. WTF !! I ended up getting both types of bearings and giving them to my mechanic so he can work it out when he takes off the old bearing.
