You need a manual AE71 Speedo cable I'm fairly sure.
Just finished the 4age conversion in my ke70 and the speedo doesnt work. Apparently you just screw in the old cable and its good to go but I did that at first and nothing happened. Been driving to and from work without a speedo and Im sick of it not knowing how fast im going only guessing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Troy

Okay cheers. Anybody got one?
Not true.
Can you like pull the cluster off and drive the car and make sure the cable spins? It's probably just not plugged in.
yeah the standard cable can be used, but its a pretty tight fit so make sure its screwed in properly to the box and afterwards, check that the plug is all the way in the back of the dash.
if u try stretch it a bit it might pop out and then wont work.
Oh I thought the speedo drives on K50's and K40's were different to T50's. Looks like I'm wrong![]()
I was reasonably certain of this too, although have never tested it personally.
Although I do know definitely that both auto and manual AE71 speedo cables work with the T50.
I'm currently using a speedo cable which was originally fitted to a K50 and it works fine on my T50. Fit like normal from memory too.
I'm not too sure if the speedo gear ratios are right, but my speedo is out by 20%.
i am using my original k40 cable into my t50 and ke70 instrument cluster
no dramas at all
and i didnt notice it "hard" to plug in or anything. cables do snap though.
pull it out and inspect it!
