AE86 ( BUSH PIG )
A few years ago we built a 4ac ae86 khanacross car out of a RUSTY parts car ( DRIFT PIG ) , she had awelded dif , full cage and basic suspension . we hillclimbed and khanacrossed her, We had a ball , then the car club lost the khanacross venue and she became surplus to needs , so was moved on.
With a welded diff the 4ac was enough power on dirt , but she was a wee dram tail happy
not the fastest hillclimb car but a lot of fun in I JUST STOLE IT MODE .
JO JO picked up most of his drift skills in the pig ----- Ha Ha !
We had so much fun in this car !

So the instead of parting her we decided to turn her into a dirt KHANACROSS CAR ---THE BUSH PIG
So the ingredients are ----- take one 4agze AE86 --- ADD PARTS FROM THE SHED . Some big hammers , portapower , chains and etc . And away we go.
Car specs are =====
engine - 4agze
radiator -- twin core alloy with twin thermo fans
gearbox - std t50
rear end - t18 drum brake , 4.3 lsd dff , also a hydro hand brake fitted
front suspension - corona struts and brakes , rt142 lca , pedder inserts ,t18 coils, AGPS ARMS & steer lock kit and some huge sway bar already fittedc , cusco tops
rear suspension - koni shocks , t18 std springs ,whiteline panhard , std arms
fuel tank -- std but with a second outer skin with sicaflex in between
fuel pumps - in the wheel wheel , with a fiberglass cover on top
alloy sump guard
roll-cage -- half bond bolt in
panels - 35mm wider fiberglass front guards , rear 35mm wider over-fenders
air intake -- now replaced front rhs light
rear hatch -- will be stripped std unit with lexin replacing the glass , same for the side windows as well. plus a duck tail added

Not your average panel tools , but hay it works
rear overfenders mean no fancy panel beating reqiured
fuel pumps and surge tank have a fiberglass cover in the making
the roll cage will probably stop her from breaking in half ---- hope so
Note RHS light replaced with a fiberglass replica that is now a air cleaner vent to the air box ,also we do not need indicators so they are fibreglass copies

no mate , I got within one one hundredth of a second of beating it but no cigar ( to old and fat ) . Have not done any since JAN. Going back to DIRT just for a bit of fun. Bitumin is just getting to expensive to run competitively now , no matter what the event . But still will do the odd hard surface event in the Soarer TT manual and the BUSH PIG will have to make an appearance or two for some sideways fun.

Big day today ----- final engine bay connection done , turned the key and she fired up and ran pefect ( bloody marvelous ).
HYDRO HANDBRAKE plumbed in , brakes bleed , suspension in , brakes bleed and sump guard fitted. now on to the paint , lexin window , harnesses , battery frame , etc etc . still a bit to do --- first event in under 3 weeks . YEE Har !
