i own a ke70. it has been lowered and has fairly wide wheels on the back..the guards have been rolled and flared by me..now im lookin to find some shocks which would make the back stiffer so its not so bouncy.

im on my way to u pull it this week what are some good cars that i can get shocks out of which would make it less bouncy if possible.

cheers

If you are after standard replacement shocks, that by chance maybe a bit better than what you got, go after these cars:
AE86 Sprinter (of course)
KE70 - AE71
AE95 Corolla Wagon 4WD
TE72 T-18

All the above use the same rear shocks. Also RWD Celica ones will fit.

For shorter rear shocks to suit your lowered car:
XT130 Corona sedan or wagon
-perfect length and fitment.

Also look at Commodores...

vl wagon or similar

short stroke, marginaly stiffer to stop the bouncing

pajero (approx 96 maybe ?) very stiff and very short stroke, the bottom mount has a steal sleeve in the bush that is a perfect tight fit on the ke70/ae86 lower shock mount

remember to check your bump stop clearance, because you will struggle to find a shock that will controll hitting bump stops

You say it's been lowered, it could be getting close to touching the bumpstops on bumps. Most people cut a section off to solve this.

jack your car up under the diff,

look at the bump stops (big black rubber things that are bolted to the chassie inside the rear springs)

look and measure the clearance between the bump stop and the diff ( spring seat actually)

if its less than 3/4 of an inch or say about 20mm it isnt enough

how much lower than standard is it ?
