Car - Ae71

motor - 4ac

use - daily

problem - thinking g/box and/or diff is on the way out..
occurs/started when - all the time

personal situation - not good..

Hey guys,

What are the common symptons of a dying gearbox and diff? my car has a whinig noise when driving (suspect diff) and it feels like its loose. when you take off, and then change gears it jerks forward when you let the clutch out (wheather its quickly or slowly) it feels like the diff is going to come out. but everything under there is tight. and when im in 4th or 5th and like "chatters" even if im going fast.
when i say "chatter" i meen like say your doing 50kmph and you grab 5th and your not going fast enough? it does that at 110kmph still.

when i put the clutch in it makes like a "squaling" noise witch i think from memory is the thrust bearing?

thats the best i can explain it. any thoughts?

cheers, Ben.
