Hey all
Just got my car running, its a 4agze small port and its showing 60 to 70 psi on idle and about 3 grand its on 100 psi?!?!?! oils leaking everywhere too just wondering if these have an oil pressure relive valve? or are they external?!?
thanks

those pressures dont sound bad.....
remember that cold oil is thicker and thus the pressure will be higher.
the relief valve is located in the pump, on the side of the casting there is a bolt type thingo. that is the relief valve......under it there is a spring and the relief valve. BE CAREFUL if removing the bolt.....the spring has quite a bit of force behind it

Mine show's exactly the same readings. 70 on idle and 95-odd at full noise.
Using autometer mechanical pressure gauge with the fitting directly coming out of the block.

Got a restrictor on the oil feed to the turbo? Those pressures sound alright for a cold start. Someone might have shimmed the relief valve too when then engine was built (you know, the gooks...)
