hi just wondering what are the oil pressure levels should be on a stock sprinter...currently mine is halfway on the stock oil pressure gauge when idling..when i rev to about 4k rpm it goes higher than the 3/4 mark on the meter..

AFAIK the variation between the 2 isn't 1/2 or 3/4 the first line is about 40psi.. which is normal operating temp/ pressure, and the 2nd line is about 80 psi.. as long as your running a good 20w50 in your 4AC you should see good oil pressure.. give or take a little on the gauge, as long as it's not reading lower than the 1st line when driving/at revs.. if it sits between is pretty normal..

ok so as long as it doesnt go below the center during driving its alright?..doesnt matter if its higher than the 2nd line? im not sure what kind of oil its running now but ill get some 20w50s soon..

when it sits between the 2 it's fine.. 4AC's should be running on a 20w50 anyway.. when there a bit long in the tooth, a hotter burning plug and maybe some 25w50 if your having a bit of blow by..

long in the tooth = old...high km's etc etc.. blows a little smoke - change to a hotter burning spark plug, and use a slightly thicker oil.. will help it quit smoking.. like a nicotine patch..
with your gearbox it's up to you what oil you put in there.. i run dextron 3 auto fluid in mine, as the syncros are quite worn out.. but the auto fluid seems to select the gears with awsome speed.. try a few different ones/types and see what feels the best.. you only need about 2-2.5 litres (depending how much you spill) to fill it
