HA! 3k for a black spray job, that's cheap shit if they're gonna do the whole car.

You'll get it for under 2k if you prep the WHOLE car yourself and if you smooth all the inperfections in the body, cause they will all show up 4 times worse than they look on whatever colour you have now. But even then, probably under 1500. Depending on who you go to, but the most time consuming and money consuming bit is smoothing inperfections and prepping the car, so yeah, just warning you, prep all fo what you can and it'll make it alot quicker to get done and it'll be a better paint finish.

Yeh is a lot, But its like Dish posted if you do all the prep work yourself you can get it cheeper but the results may not be as good as a pro doing all the prep work.

yeah true i was thinking about doing that
But if i dont get it 100% they will proberlly charge me heaps or just spray it

You don't have to do ALL the prep. Get it back to just above bare metal or even bare metal the day before you take it to get painted and that saved alot of trouble for the painter. He will just bog and fill any inperfections then prime it and check for inperfections and the like again.

I'd do all the smaller harder to get to with a big sander spots. Still sand doors and roof etc. But the smaller spots will be hard to get to with the big sander/buffer type thing.

You reaken just keep it this colour and get the engine bay and front end done?

Looks pretty neat. So yeah, decide what you wanna do, I like black hachi's. But yeah, all up to you. That colour would look good all round though.

how much you think for the engine bay and front end think ill stick wid that id rather spend that extra 3-4k on the engine & suspension than the looks

In that same colour if you do the prep work? Depending on the place, but under a grand or around a grand, if they still have to do some work before painting. But it depends on the place, ring and get a few quotes.
