hi guys my question is this. im building a a4gte using a bigport head. what manifold is the best to use. the 100kw 8 runner one or the fwd 4 runner one, and change the throttle body position. i could make a custom one at work but i dont have the time for that atm. any help would be usefull

bigport head use bigport manifold
smallport head use smallport manifold.
it really is that simple.

yeah but ive seen small port intake on bigport head, which is ment to flow well. just hoping someone else had carried ou some sort of testing into this to confirm this or not.

The port spacing is different as road sailing said small port on smallport......

oh yeah, forgot about that.
incicently, the port spacing of smallport and silvertop 20 valve is basically identical

if the port spacing is different how is it that people have used the small port to big port configuration. spacer plate?

the bolt holes line up, the air holes do not line up.
also, the 100kw(smallport) one is a 4 runner, bigport is 8 runner.

T3 made a adaptor plate for using bigport manifold on a smallport head.

the adaptors channel the offset runners into the ports.
id just use a big port manifold. any differance will be neglidgable not at all worth the trouble. highly unlikely anyone is going to be able to give a proper oppinion based on back to back testing.

guys in slightly confused on the bigport 86kw head, the maching inlet manifold has 4 runners and if put on a rwd set up needs the throttle body swaped to the other side. is this correct?
