blocked? tap broken? check if the tap (copper Y peice) is opening and closeing..

did you flush your system? it could be blocked up enough to not get very hot at all.. try using some of that radiator flush... just follow the directions on it..

you turn it on and nothing happens? blown fuse? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

or does it just not blow hot?

yea if the fan doesnt work it would be a fuse, but if its not blowing hot/warm air once the engine is warm it would be a block somewhere

its quite likely that the half cut was sitting around for ages and might have a build up of crud inside the coolant jacket. It probably got lodged in your heater or something. Give it a a good flush out and get a fitting to attach to the heater lines and give them a reverse flush.

Other things that it could be are fuse as mentioned(if its actually the fan not working), or the tap that is operated by cable from inside the cabin. When I got my last 86 this cable was bent at the end and didn't open the heater valve so I replaced it with on I had lying around and it worked fine after that
