hey people

I have a 4agze and its going into my ke70, it is dli so how do i hook up a digital tacho/shift light. Its a stewert warner ultra shift light and tach, It hooks up just the same as a normal tacho.

It needs to be powered(red wire)and earthed(black wire), It also needs a signal(green wire) to the negative on the coil, I have two coils and there is one 2 prong going into each pack.

any idea's or suggestions are very welcome.

there should be a -ig on the ecu,
i used it when my stock tacho wasnt working in in my ae82gze.

there was a page on the net with info to do this....

Does the stock tacho use the -ig wire or does it run another way?

The tacho signal from your ECU is a 5 or 12V square wave. This will not work on your tacho if it needs a coil negative signal.

You can combine the two negative wires from your coil packs using a small circuit and connect this to your tach.

I've posted the circuit before on Toymods. Search for posts by "Hen" and "tacho" or similar.
