you will need

1x 4age
1x ke70

and most of the bits from an ae71 (pedal set, t50, hydro clutch conversion, tacho dash (if you want) etc, not hard to do been done a million times before)

have fun

AE86 or AE71 engine crossmember
AE71 gearbox x member (86 one can be used)
AE71 pedal box
AE71 or AE86 clutch master cylinder
AE71 or AE86 solid clutch line from master to slave, and rubber hose
AE71 or AE86 rubber engine mounts
AE71 or AE86 steel engine brackets
AE71 or AE86 gearbox stays (link box to block)
AE71 tailshaft if keeping the ke70 borg diff
AE86 tailshaft if using S series
AE86 tailshaft with T18 back half if using T series diff
T50 gear box
obviously a 4AGE of some sorts JDM being easier, ADM FWD being a little trickier but no big deal.

thats just what you need to get the engine in there, you will also need

modify tank pickup with fuel pump, plus mod top tank plate with a 8mm fitting for fuel feed.
fuel hose (injection spec)

loom to suit, either modded AE82 loom if using a bigport, modded AE92 loom if using a smallport, or a slightly less modified JDM loom again if you are using a bigport.

^^^ that would have got me like 4,908,876 rep points on toymods

as for cost, depends on how much you do your self and how cheap you can find AE71 parts

best base would be an AE71 as you have most of the shit you need. honestly if you live the KE70 front buy and AE71 and front panels of a 70 it works out cheaper than trying to find all the 71 parts required.

man i'm so making this a tech article.

If you can't get a donor car go to one of those 'pull the parts off yourdelf' places for the AE71 bits.
I'm sure most people will tell you small port is better - newer, more power, less kms.

yep, i drilled a hole in the top plate and had a fitting welded on for the feed hose. hose clamped a pump to the 2 steel lines that go into the tank on the top plate. another hole for the wires than hot glued it so it sealed.

just have to make suret hte pump is as low as possible in the tank, try to keep the pump inlet at the same height as the original stock carby line pickup.

also trying to get a pump small enough to fit in the ke70 opening is a bit hard. you can use 86 tanks with some mods. don't know what they are exactly though.

hard to explain without pics

done it not long ago, i used a bigport with jdm loom and ecu. If anyone honestly thinks small ports are better, are pretty silly, if you get a fresh big port i dont believe there is any arguement.

if your on the sunny coast, dont be afraid to give me a call

if your going to go 7a use a small port or atleast 7 rib bottom end. for the 42mm goodness.
