Hello
Does anyone know if the 4AGZE crank is forged steel rather than cast or is this just a myth. I have read different opinions but has anyone seen one of these in the flesh or are the just a normal cast crank as the 4AGE is. Any help would be appriciated.
Cheers

4age and 4agze cranks are identical from the corresponding year of manufacture. The obvious different ones would be the early 40mm type bigports but the later generations share the same internals EXCEPT the pistons. This is confirmed through the Toyota EPC with both GZE and GE crank variants sharing the same part numbers.

Roadsailing are you sure that yours is forged steel? Let me know how you are able to tell especially going on big T advice.

by looking at it, ill take a pic if i get time.
basically the "flash" section is very wide, cast cranks would have a failry narrow section.
