who cares how much work you have to do to the kit. when you get to do it at tafe, for free. wile your boss pays you to be there.

good to see another painter in the line up. your lucky man i want to go the ACE center. adelaide tafe is shit. ACE has some really really good education. i wouldn't mind going there to do the metal fab restoration course.

The ducktail spoiler was next. I didn't want anything on the 86 to be just bolted on because i wanted a clean and molded look.

First step, i adjusted the spoiler on to see how it would look on the car. Then i grinded the area i needed to mold, sanded down the spoiler to original gel coat, pre-drilled the holes so the pop rivets could go through.

I used fiberglass sheets and glue to hold the area where the spoiler meets the hatch.

I brought the hatch to work to finish molding the ducktail on because i didn't have all the tools at the time. The process of the filler took so long because of the shape and getting it right. Once the filler was dry, i started sanding it down and shaped it to the hatch to make sure it looked like one piece.

    Ready for prime.

I bought a set of arch flares with (25-30mm more clearance) off mfxae86 because the amount of left over rusts on the rear guards that had come up over the years. I got annoyed so i just decided to cut the rusted part off and bolted then molded the flares onto the guards.

Started with the rears first. Grinded the flares .. i'll just let the photos do the talking

Adjusted to cut to size where the bodykit meets ..

Put self tapper screws to hold it on firmly and used fiberglass filler underneath to hold.

    Molding process begins!

I know they're WHOA PHAT man! But that's how i wanted it and i like it

Now for the front to match all that hard work in doing the front flares at trade school for nothing .. ohh well lol because if i just did the rears then the front would look just plain stupid.

Mr Awsome - lol that's true. good to see i'm not the only one on here, how long have you been a spray painter? yeah ACE is a really good tafe for the automotive industries with a wide range of courses to learn and the centre is still expanding their mechanic area at the moment. what paint do you use? because last year my boss sent me to adelaide to do a training course for Protec paint. was a good experience.

Dazzla86 - that's right "do it once, do it right" as i like to say it
