XERO THEY ARE A VERY weird merge collector ,the 4 should all merge into 1 and have a cone or spear inside then taper then a taper cone back up to your disired dia

how does the slip joint work?

when it heats up does the inner pipe expand and then seal up?

yeah exactly right, they usually leak a bit when cold but once warm are completely sealed up

its a slip on collector with the insides tapering and spliced together. but i know what you talking about glen, my research has shown that with the collector being the desired diameter without the tapered peice makes no difference to power or flow.

but to make the power he is claiming (160rwkw) from a 2L 7age he'll need massive cams, which will need massive revs also...

i ended up with 4-1 rather than the 4-2-1 that i ordered due to a mixup from the supplier...but im thinking that im glad i ended up with them...

no need for massive revs 8500 is plenty.

i think ill be going for 4-1. so i can get my power where i need it.
