hey ill, what sort of stuff do they teach in mech engerneering? Im thinking of heading down this path after my apprenticeship. I want to engineer cars et al

a lot of the theory based stuff at UQ. apparently QUT does a bit more hands on stuff with their engineering course, but i can't really say for sure there. first year courses at UQ are pretty boring and there's about 4 maths courses to be done, but once you're in second/third/fourth year, it's a bit better. avoid any aerospace shit though, cause the main lecturer can't teach for poo poo lol.

What year are you in mech eng dude? I hardly any 86's round uni. And the space courses are hard, much more interesting then a lot of the other ones though. I assume you are talking about richard morgan though haha.
@ biggo: What apprentiship are are doing? And as far as i know, engineering certs for cars are hardly ever done by engineers - just mechanics with the right tickets.
