same shape just different trim
Hi Guys,
Well the question is there, what is the difference between the JDM rear seat and an ADM rear seat. Preferably the top half?
Or are they identical?
Cheers,
Chris.![]()

Edited again for soft people.
Some of the base model AE85s had worse seats than we got. Simpler and lighter back seat, not even sure if it folded.
Alot of the mid-range models like the GTV and others below that has seats similar to our "ADM" cars. They had a larger range of trim and colour options.
The GT Apex had very different seats both front and back. If you try and put Apex seats in the back of a GTV or SR or something you will find a big gap between the seats and the rear door card things. This is because the rear door card thing of the Apex were thicker and moulded to the seat a bit more.
So with the GTV or SR, you could squash 3 people in the back. Thin basic side trims. With Apex the rear is moulded more to fit 2 in luxury.
But yeah, if you retrimed the very top bit of the top of the rear seats in black vinal, it would be damn close to "JDM".
And I'm sure you Brian, are also very good at what you do.
