Wiring is simple, essentially the same as a 4ac. I think the point deekin was making is that it is not as simple as bolting on a pair of carbs... It gets expensive quick and probably won't run as well as a factory efi setup.

ok then no he didn't, however he genuinely tried to be of some assistance. How about just saying something like "thanks, that's ok I will deal with the cost, now does anyone know about how do do the wiring?"

I have also done it before where someone has asked to do something and I often give them a different answer than what their asking, however it still proved to be useful to them. We have no negative intentions, are not trying to tell you not to do it so there is no need for the harsh resposes.

if your already running a fuel injected 4AG and you remove the manifold and replace it with carbs, can you leave the computer to run all the timing?

this makes perfect sense in my head but no one ever does it?

Yes, if you leave the sensors intact. I think the reason why people don't do this is because they usually want to fit carbs to avoid wiring when putting a 4age in. This is instead of already having a fuel injected engine and downgrading to carbs.

what sensors need to be kept?

its a small port we are doing so will it still need MAP?

I am no expert but I would think all of them. Map would needed, putting some barbs into the manifold works well.

edit: that also means adapting your tps onto the carbs, might be a pain to do

Tim, just buy a scorcher, performance ignition services are awesome to deal with (they did the work on the 3tc dissy, sure woke the old girl up)..or worst case convert a 4k dissy and get them to recurve it to suit a 4ag for ultimate fun times...

    Scorcher are Performance Ignition.
Send them the drive gear off your distributor and they'll send you back a brand new custom made distributor ready to bolt in. They did mine and have done a few on here as well, I couldn't be happier with their services.
