    Default Ke70 Panhard Rod

    Watsup gang!!

So i Was just wondering, on the weekend I put in my t-series into my e7. I think, but not sure the t-series is out of a celica as it had 'Ra' something written with texta on it. So anyway, everything bolted up fine except my stock panhard rod falls short by about 50mm. Has anyone else has this problem with the stock panhard. I have searched and nothing has been said ( that i could find ) What i was thinking was just cutting the stock panhard some where towards one end and putting a screw type adjusted in it. Has anyone played with this idea? I know i can buy a adjustable one, but im comming towards the end of my build and id rather spend money elsewhere so i can get the car running.

    Any thoughts

Hey man, with the panhard rod don't cut up the ke70 one. With the size of the rod and the turnbuckle to fit in it, it will be very weak.

What I did is get a commodore panhard ($10-$20) and go to wholesale suspension in penrith, ask for a turnbuckle to suit the commodore panhard rod (~$60), cut the panhard to suit the length you need and weld in the turnbuckle.
Superpro bushes are bout $20 for it. For the bush that goes on the diff you will need to drill this out to suit the size of the pin, I used a 16mm bit from memory and then pushed it on.

Ive done the exact same thing for a mates ke70 too. Works a treat.

sounds like from what blake says you'll end up spending close to $100 fabing up a commo bar which is about the price of a second hand adj. panhard rod. unless you do the fabbing yourself

But if he was to get a off the shelf one it would need to be adjusted longer leving it holding on by a few threads,
Safe to do the commo one as you can make it the length to suit your car/diff.

I had a similar problem but I already had a rose jointed adj rod I wanted to use. So I had the whole mount bracket cut off and moved in 50mm. Cost me $50 haha
