That looks spectacular. Jealous of how much tidier your body looks.
Thanks, that reflection really gives away how straight it is.
Just did egr removal, and smog pump removal. Worked great. Just made block off plates for the 3 places it unbolts from.
Was hard to get the parts out, there is so little room around the 22re compared to the 4age I had before.
Had a new GMB water pump fitted the other day also. Now I have cooling system pressure and no loss of fluid.
love this car
what are the next plans?

It really needs springs and shocks. I have the shocks I need lying around from other cars, but the springs I need to find still. Just looking for lowered kings. They are cheap as on ebay atm, but I'm tightarsing this one as much as possible.
It has a knock in the left bush of the steering rack as usual. Id like to fix it. Dunno if I will actually bother. Dont like my chances of finding a manual rack in better nick. Gets a small thump in the rear end when you lift off, so there's something spent that needs fixing there as well. Could tighten up on the front wheel bearings and replace a grease cap. Mostly small stuff. It makes an annoying squeak in the brakes on the front left so a clean might be in order.
Just keeping on tidying it up really. I degreased the shit out of it, it looked like mostly spilled oil on it. I also scrubbed a lot of the stained paintwork in the engine bay, it s coming up great, its in top order uder the grime. I will be fitting the ac pump soon and hooking that up, then off to the ac guys to see if it holds pressure this time. If it does, I will have a cool summer.
Trying to do all this stuff on the cheap so I can drop my money on the other car when it comes out of the shop from the cage and exhaust and whatnot.
Getting some new bundera headers off old mate when he comes to town, hence why I wanted the egr and smog pump bs binned. Plus I can actually see what the fuck is happening in there now. Saves a few kgs actually as well. Wonder how much better the emissions are vs the burden of carrying an extra 8kgs of junk for 30 years.
Plus the thing needs a really decent stereo, but fuck me dead if Toyota didnt screw the pooch really bad when it came to speaker locations in the coupe. No parcel shelf, kicks are too thin, pretty much have to make a box in the boot and run an amp and maybe make something in the rear seat armrests. Could put tweeters in the stock speaker places. Has like 2 paper speakers about 1.33 inch cones and an analogue radio. Not exactly high tech.
Im actually wondering if the Din slot is deep enough for a modern double or single din unit. Mine has the premium tape play with the bass boosting loud button, which is totally pointless with twin 1.3 inch speakers.
Cheap option for shorter stroke rear dampers is VN wagon rears. They're about 80mm shorter in length and bolt straight in. Front inserts are the same as what you're used to with AE86/KE70 stuff as you've probably already found.
The DIN slot does fit regular single DIN head units. I can't vouch for double DIN decks though, as I just run a little plastic pocket under my single DIN unit. As for speakers, there really isn't much to be done except hack into the trim next to the rear seats, get some 4" to sit in the respective locations in the dashboard (4" don't actually bolt up properly either. You'll have to just wing it) and drop a sub in the boot.
