    Default Carbon canister 4age ke70

Hey so I've tried some googling with no luck.

I need to put my charcoal canister back in my ke70. Currently running a 4agte. I understand what there for although I have no idea how they work!

    2 questions..

1, can I go to a wrecker and pull out any canister, from any car and hook it up to my setup ? Or does it have to be 4age specific?

2, vacume to the canister, does it have to go through a vsv, or can I run a direct constant vacuum source ? Also I Don't have any wiring for a vsv
Im running a custom plenum and have a spare vac nipple so it will work out well if I can.

Don't be hating on my stupidness!!

    thanks in advance..

Any carbon canister will do but some have quite a few fittings on them, I look for ones with just the line from the tank breather system & a vacuum source line, you will need to run ported vacuum in that it comes from a fitting around the throttle butterfly & so will not have any vacuum at idle & will only be there as the throttle is opening, some have a delay valve fitted inline too so it doesn't pull air through the carbon canister as soon as the throttle is opened ..

Do you mean put a restrictor in line & have it connected to your custom plenum & so it pulls vacuum all the time ... Not ideal if that's the way you were thinking of plumbing it ...
