Wiring a Mishimoto Dual Fan Shroud into my ae86

Hi Guys,

Just got a Mishimoto Dual Fan Shroud to sit on new koyo rad and was wondering best way to wire. Now car will mostly be a track car but driven on roads sometimes so was just thinking to hook it up to switch but have heard things against this approach

Motor is a 16v 4AGZE smallport going to turbo. So my question is Do l hook it up to a switch for constant on or do l use thermostat?

Easy to run it off the thermo switch on the bottom inlet.
You can rig up a simple switch to run the fans when you want it to aswell but I dont see the need. While moving at 60kph the fans are useless as the air coming through the grille is stronger then the air the fans can draw through.
If you plan to run an electric water pump then just wire them to a switch, this would allow you to keep coolant circulating with the fans running while the car is off. Maybe even get a few more hp with that setup. Good for track cars

Hook it up to a temp sender, with an adjustable temp controller then once you've got the temps right it's set and forget. With it sent to constant it may cool it down too much and if you're driving hard you'll never notice it.

Thanks guys. Running normal pump not electric. So need to get adjustable temp controller then or this might be able to be done via my ecu as well l am assuming? Going to run haltech ps1000

Was still thinking of running switch for override just in case but doesn't seem like its needed now from what you are all saying does anyone have the override switch in place?

Can be done by the Haltech, select what temp you want it on to trigger a relay
