    Charity post.

Can you read a wiring diagram?
    Can you operate a multimeter?

If so you can save yourself. Fab'ing a wiring loom is a huge task. It will at times best you.

    Here's a link to a TE71 wiring diagram.

This is my go-to diagram for all xE7x and early to mid 80's Toyota wiring. Toyota are good in that the colours are usually the same across the models and they're usually colour grouped together for various systems.

    For example:

    Reds are usually headlight wiring
Greens are other lighting (park, tail, indicator)
    Blues are washer motor etc
    Whites are B+ constant power
Black with red usually IGN ON power
Black with yellow usually IGN ON power
    Black with white STA power
White with black trace is ground.

Holding true to this, your Red wire with Yellow trace (stripe) is your High beam ground path (refer circuit diagram - headlights have switched power and switched grounds to do hi / lo / off)

    Anyway. Have fun.
