Weld them up and then paint it again. Thats the best option out there
My hatch has some holes where rivets used to bolt the spoiler used to be. The guy i bought the car from removed the spoiler and patched up the holes with duct tape. I want a more permanent fix. Any recommendations?

Led wiping is an old school method that works really well, but you need an oxy.
But if they are small spot welding can work pretty well or plug welding them with a mig.

Refit spoiler?
Cant afford a new spoiler at the moment or else i would..
Get some rubber grommets to fill and will seal it as well

I'm assuming that they are quite small holes so rubber grommets may not work, at the end of the day as matt said led wiping it is one of the best options but it is also a dying art (sadly) and it is not common practice anymore, the most practical method would be to use the mig on a low enough setting so as not to put heaps of heat into the panel but high enough setting to make it weld properly, then linish the welds back flat, maybe a skim of filler to make it smooth and then off to paint
You can buy little threaded studs with rubber o rings to plug up holes temporarily if you intend on refitting a wing at some stage.
Normally used to plug holes after de-badging

I'm not a fan of lead (not led ffs!) wiping. To me it is just like bog carving except the finished surface is softer. Also while the peak temperature is lower than welding you still have to be very careful because it is the total heat put into a panel that does the damage.
Mig all the way.
You could also try metal apoxy to fill it. It'll stay pliable enough at the beginning to get a nice finish and should be able to fill a rivet hole nicely. Also added benefit of no heat.
