started making my brake lines ... its not that hard if you have the tools ... that being said i need a pipe cutter to be able to make the rest of them.

and i picked up some wheels today... not for my 86 but for my gf's charade ... you guys will hate me for putting these on a charade but its better than the lightace van they were on.

the single rim is after a quick clean and the 3 are how i picked them up.

nothing special about them they are 14X6 and if they dont go on my gf's car they will be here for sale.

seeing as my 86 is at work i decided to use some of our equipment, i thought i would find out how much camber i currently have... turns out both sides are at -4 with my cambertops reducing it as much as possible.

i can already tell that with -4 camber the steering is lighter as there is less tyre in contact with the road and i know that it will make straight line tracking different, i just want to know what would be a good camber to run if i could get it. to make the current set up with -4 camber i have mx62 cressida lower control arms, 2" lowered springs on celica struts and my own 5mm stainless steel cambertops set fully out... all that = -4 camber.

    You've got too much camber.

TBH, the celica struts suck arse. The king pin angle (I'm pretty sure thats the one, the angle of the stub axle to the strut body) is all wrong for a sprinter.

The best combination is AE86 struts XT130 LCA's but XT130 struts and LCA's will also do just fine.

If it were me, I'd bin the Celica struts and find some sprinter struts to put back in.

Actually that is the "included angle", you're right though! -4 is too much I reckon

i would like less camber to save my tyres but i do like the brake upgrade i have from the celica struts.

but if i can find a JDM front strut and brake package for the right price i could get that.
and i supose when i do that i can get upgraded front shocks to as my current ones are rather crappy.

ok so today i finished making my brake lines ... and then i found out that the thread in the top of the master cylinder was half fucked ... so after filling and bleeding my entire brake system i had to drain the master and take it out. im not sure what brake master it is so im sending it to central coast clutch and brake, hopefully they can ether repair it or find a replacement.

and i have my 86 booked in with an auto sparky to finish my wires in about a week.
i showed him what needed to be done with the help of my 4A-GE manual and he said oh i can have that done in about an hour ... lol i think he will be surprised when he gets it. but good for me if its only an hour of labor
