I didn't rush to look at it the next morning cos i knew what I'd see.
    The "BUG CATCHER".

Unmasked. It does photograph well though. The bonnet will be painted black.

    The damage.
The reflection is remarkable though. You can make out the work equips on my brothers Hachi

You can see the bugs and other shit in the paint. It was pretty windy that day of painting.

I got over it a bit by putting these puppies in. It's just a drift car after all (I keep telling myself that).

Next up was the glass, or Perspex and Lexan windows rather.
The door and quarter windows are perspex, from Bunnings, and the rear window is lexan which I got BCJ Plastics to supply and cut for around $60.

Mark and cut, trim trim trim, fit.

    The end result.....

Note: did you spot the carbon mirror? You cant see much out of them which is a good thing. Hopefully I wont bother try to use them while in battle.

You can just see the top of the drivers side a little bulge. I couldn't see this pre-fit and it was too late to fix at the time.

Now you are all up to date with my progress. I'll leave it at this weeks work.
I got a mate who is a steel fabricator to help me with this.

Just need to pop rivet it up and bolt it in, after I've cut the hole in the boot that is. If I'm lucky, it will be just visible below the rear bar. Should look tough.

Anyway its off to KYP on Tuesday with some luck, for the engine install. I cant wait....
I'll keep you posted as it happens......

    Cheers guys.
I've got 15x9 -15 and 15x9.5 -9 for the rear so far. I need a few more sets. With an F series Diff they should come close to filling the CBY's. Wheel spacers will do the rest.
On the front I just scored some 15x8 -0 Miesters, just waiting for the guy to get back to me about them. Hope they are enough....
