I've had this car for a few years now, bought it for $2k with a 4ac that had a blown head gasket (but still ran for a while) 4ac shat itself maybe 8 months ago and over that amount of time i finally got a new engine, and got it in the car. Has an uncracked dash too, will post pics of that when the interior isnt torn apart.

Apart from engine setup it will be stock, its gunna suck to have the new engine in with 20 year old suspension.
    Here's some pics.

After i ripped out the pos 4ac

    the pos itself

then picked up this baby, smallport that has apparently done >70,000kms, was able to get the inlet manifold done for free too , came with clutch and lightened flywheel too

    ghetto wheels

just gotta wire this bad boy in and get an exhaust system done and it will be drivable

and until then ive got this to drive around

more to come on the sprinter when i get new exhaust/suspension/diff/wheels

That would not be a smart move unless you want to take paint off aswell. If i remember correctly, its the same as pinstriping so a hair dryer and a scraper would do nicely.

got almost all the wiring done easy

then test the wire that runs to the battery and there is NO resistance on it what so ever
it should have 4k ohms, it has 4 ohms ><

    cant work out why

    its very very frustrating
