See how I said "not the best option".........
Robbo does'nt build cars for "a tonne of power".... I would say he is a bit more sophisticated than that.... Not really someone who would settle for a shit car, just cause it's there.......
I dont think Robbo feels the need to be driving "differant" B grade setups. He has owned a variety very good cars, ranging from Z32's, AE86's, EVO's, new 86 etc....

Didn't know 4AG's were so heavy. Is this going to be a track only car? Or going to be on the road aswell? What are you thinking suspension and diff wise?

    Pics later this arvo!

This thread wouldn't live up to its name without some SR hatin' going on, lol

Tyler, believe me, if you had driven this car, you would be on board with pulling the motor out. Without trying to sound like a cock, I have owned 86's with 4ac, Jdm bigport, 20v's, gze's, and now 1g-gte, but I've also spent a good amount of time behind the wheel of 4a-gte and sr20 setups too. Out of all of those setups I simply enjoyed my time with the sr20 setup the most.

Again with the title, I understand some people will disagree with my choices, but in the end I am just building a car for my enjoyment, not to try and force others down this path. So haters, feel free to keep on hatin' on!

    Cast iron's a bitch hey?

I have sourced some Gready type S suspension, not 100% on diff but likely mkII corona or tarago f series.

Will essentially be a track car, if I can retain rego it will be purely to get to/from the track.

I'm not hating. It's not what I'd do but hey, that's me and this is you. I appreciate 86's and appreciate what you're about to do. Keen for some photos.
What are you thinking suspension and diff wise? Keeping AE front end?

EDIT: just saw your last post. Wasn't quick enough.

Ah, cool. Maxhag's Greddy suspension got me thinking, that's for sure.
Anyone had experience with R31 diffs? Wondered why more people don't go for them..

I used to use a R31 diff. Very strong, but R31 diffs (Borgwonka) are alot heavier than a Toyota diff. They are also a bitch to change the centre.....

Ahk, I see. Did you shorten it down or just leave it standard width?

Sorry to hijack the thread, Robbo.
