Yo homiez!

I hate fuel systems. I now smell of petrol. The only plus side of this whole operation is that the AE71 has a drain plug in the fuel tank, which means no siphoning for me!

I'll cut to the chase:

Trying to set up my AE71's 4AGE fuel system. I opted for the in-tank pump setup, not the external VL lifter + sender type setup, because i couldn't be bothered to deal with the noise, and to have to mount more things in the boot / under the car etc.

I mistakenly believed that the EFI pump from an AE82 would fit into my AE71's hole... WRONG! If you're reading this and thinking this is the go, IT ISN'T! Look at images from the two. The AE82's pump mounting plate has six screws. The AE71's has five. Fail @ life by me, the AE71's hole never had to be big enough to deal with a pump!

Anyways, i've been offered an AE86 ADM tank on the cheap, so i'm thinking that it might be worth it to create my own "JDM" type setup, i.e. the ADM tank with an in-tank pump, but i was wondering how much modification to the tank itself would be required?

I've read that the filler neck needs to be altered... How? And is there anything else needed to shoehorn that homie in?

I've tried searching on the e-webz... no luck.

THANKS HEAPS! E-beers all 'round.
