I had a JDM AE86 Tank in my AE71. I did not fit it so I can't tell you the details, all I know is it fits mint, everything lines up, EXCEPT the filler neck. That needs to be made to fit for the set up to work.

Otherwise its perfect, quiet, and it never surged on me. I did always keep it over a 1/4 of a tank though.
