late update. I've been working on the 86 and night shift so it doesn't give me much time to update but... things are happening and I hope to rego her by December for HR annual.

I recently attended the DC drift fest 01 @ Raleigh and that was awesome. The week prior to Raleigh there was alot to be done and without the car nothing could be done. On Wednesday I purchased a tow bar for the Honda accord Euro which belonged to my brother's friends. Not the best of tow cars but it was my last resort. Thursday, two days before the event I got the car tow back to mates house (MR John Lor) from the tuners (Micks Motorsport). Car made 91.6kwate on his dyno. At this stage John was on the way back from Melbourne and was not aware of this till I called him with the surprise message. Come Friday we pitched in tackled it head on.

We came up with a to do list:
fix/bleed brakes (had leaking master cylinder and no brake fluid)
change flywheels bolts (tuner said bolts were coming loose, which they were after inspection)
tidy ecu wiring (shit was everywhere)
check fluids (engine, gearbox, coolant ect)
check lights (headlights, turn lights, rear brake lights)
    get tires
    make secondary bonnet restraint
    pack food and drinks
pack bags (clothes, tent, go pros and other essentials for Raleigh)
pack tools (jack, stands, toolbox, ect)
    do string wheel alignment
    make silencer (loud and proud)
    mount passenger seat
    acquire a battery
    get trailer

Not being able to do much as I work nightshift, I left the car there in the trusty hands of John and his brother (Rice86) to work on.

I managed to get off work at 12.30am on the Saturday morning. Late/Early and excited, I headed home to get the tow car. Headed to John's house to pick up the 86 to find the 86 loaded on the trailer and everything packed up. There was still alot to be done on the car but we left and soldiered to Raleigh. Not the best of drives after a weeks work and stress we finally arrived at Raleigh. Anxious and excited to see how the car handled and drive/drift after three years of not being able to drive it was scary. We unpacked, did what was left of the list and I headed out of the track. It didn't handle the best with old semi and suspension wasn't dialled in. Persistence was the key and on the second day it feels heaps better and i was able to do alot more. Those who did attend know that i had problems with noise as my car was too loud but to the thanks of Adan for his silencer and Rhys for his fab skills we mocked up a silencer to keep me on the track.

Big thanks to all those that helped to make the weekend happen.

Currently its getting paint stripped by me and hopefully hi filled for rego by the Annual.

here are a couple of update pics
