putting r31 diff into my 86, dont know what to do about handbrake cables, will i need to use r31 cables or 86 or mod them both to fit type of thing?
really need a hand with this i have no clue...

thanks man, i been seaching but i cant find anythig i may jus b putting in the wrong words or something soo annoying, could you give me any advice at all?
what i did was use s series drum brake cables and the parts inside the drums the cable goes in cut the brackets up and welded them to the r31 calper h brake cables its more complicated ill have to find the post

I havent done anything yet, except get a set of S series cables.When I've got some time, my local brake specialist said he can do it if I supply him with both the AE86 and R31 cables for about $200....

well seeing no-one else wants to answer and for future reference I will make an update. I have managed to adapt the unmodified handbrake cables, wasn't hard either, just took a decent amount of time. I chopped the curved tab off the drums brake pads where the cable hook and welded it to the caliper arm, spaced out the standard cable with a steel tube and then welded it onto the caliper. I did this for Adam the starter of this thread.
