Sad sight to see. Same thing almost happened to me about 3years ago in my gold 86, except i was infront of all the rear wheels on the trailer when cut me off. Was lucky I stopped and moved out of the way as much as I could.
Good to see it also got moved to higher ground!
Anyway from what I can see it needs:
-Repair or replace rad support
-New gaurd (if they steal from an adm the park light will be missing a mount)
-New bumper stays
-Plastic weld bumper/repair
-Repair Bonnet
-New head light and park light
-May need slight rail tug (unless the bumper stay took most of the impact) and if so possible lower rad support replacement or straighten
-other steering components
Hope it gets fixed soon! Don't want it written off though

Fuuuuuu dude that sucks. Almost makes me teary seeing the poor thing sitting there all battered and bruised.... I really hope it's repairable and you're able to fix it - it was easily the best car I ever owned.. I'll be following to see what happens!

well the quote can't go ahead until i have a LHS fender... impossible to find a kouki one so i will have to settle for a zenki. only difference is a mount for kouki parkers but i will see if that can weld on another mount for it. apart from that everything should be good to go. list is:
New Headlights and Parkers
New Bumper
Bumper Mounts
Replace LHS Fender
Paint Fender, Bonnet, LHS door, LHS quarter, Rear bumper top only (white), Mirrors
New (whole) steering rack
Wheel alignment
So far the quote is just under $2500 for parts not including labour, paint etc! thank fuck for insurance!

bad news: tmr got back to me and the cctv camera was facing the wrong way and picked up nothing from the accident... so the excess is on me...
good news: sexy 16 from sydney has a front guard for me and the smash repairs will courier it up so the car is finally on the mend.
Itll probably be straighter than ever. Most original cars Ive dealt with werent perfectly in shape. Might be a nice time to fit the new hatch too. If you work it right, the insurer may pay you for the part if its needed.
first impression on reading 'write off by a truck' was that this car was absolutely destroyed, extremely releaved to find that it's getting sorted and the damage isn't much at all considering! always admired how clean ur 86 is/was/will be again so keep it up bro!
