what a/c belt to use with 4age

Car - ae86

motor - jdm 4age

use - air con

problem - no belt

occurs/started when - i have a 4age in my ae86, motor and a/c came out of jap 86 with power steering. i've now put the 4age and a/c in my car and dont want to run power steering, but the belt doesnt work on my car because it needs the power steering. if i bought another shorter belt, i cant use the tensoner because it doesnt reach all the way down and theres no other way to tension the belt

personal situation - if anyone has pic of 4age with a/c and no power steering can u please post it up.

You can either get an a/c bracket for a/c only which has a tensioner built into the bracket, OR

What i did was buy a new ribbed pulley. I looked through a Nuline pullies parts catalogue until i found the pulley i needed (there was only one in the catalogue and it was from a nissan from memory). I then made the tensioner bolt to pull the belt up by welding a nut on it so it wouldn't fall down, you can still move the pulley up or down but you cant remove the adjusting bolt from the bracket now.

i was just thinking. instead of having the tensioner pully can i get a 5puk pulley to replace it?

Pretty much what you said is what i said. I'll try and find the part no. for it because it was the only pulley with the correct ID hole size that had 5 ribs.

I think it's the EP097 pulley, from an R50 Pathfinder. Just double check the id of the hole is 12mm.
