    By a workshop, i'd guess 5k?

And it doesnt really matter which ae86, as both use the same gearbox etc etc .. but the import one would be better (EFI fuel-tank and stronger diff are definite pluses for a GZE swap)

Yeah definitely ~$1500, then SURELY no more than 3500 to install.

If you did it yourself, you could probably install it for a tad over 1k (depending on how well you know your exhaust shop for intercooler piping/exhaust stuff etc)

As a guide, my ae92 map 4agze straight out of a front cut cost 1600 with the fwd gearbox etc. Front/halfcut is 2-2.5k.

If you already had a 4age converted car, it doesn't cost that much extra to do, just mainly cooler piping work. The main cost of it is getting it ready for a 4age engine as you would need fuel setup, exhaust and wiring. I'd budget 4-5k for a good job.

IMO, this case its probably better to get an adm converted/converted already as you can see the job done before hand, but most jap converted ones ive seen are quite rubbish.

flipping/spacing the intake pipe, fiddling around with the loom/lengthening etc, some people have troubles with the supercharger bracket or something fouling but thats no longer than 5minutes work, and finally making an alternator bracket. thats about it really
