    Default Halfcast Hachi

Im a long time forum stalker, first time owner. finally found an 86 thats wasnt priced with excessive takumi tax and had all right bits. yay for me

it is an ADM model, and i do belaive its been through a few different hands as a project so its had plenty of people butcher it and put in there two cents. So im still finding bits n bobs that i didnt know it had some things i cant really explain how it came to haha

    ENGINE:
4AGE Bigport - its possible a shaved head or one of them flash headgaskets. anybody know a way of telling?
Jasma extractors into bodgey 2" straight through, under diff
    Senore cheapo pod

    DRIVELINE:
Standard Gbox - maybe ADM maybe JDM?
TRD 2way - so i am told, it is tight and it does make me happy

    SUSPENSION:
    KYB short strokes all round
    AJPS springs all round
    i think 6kg front
    maybe 4 or 5kg rear
    Rose jointed adjustable panhard
Feels real nice on the road
    RCAs from Japan?
    Corona front LCAs

    WHEELS AND BRAKES:
    MA61s
    JDM front brakes
    JDM disk rear

i havnt had the car too long now and i dont drive it everyday, i still need to sort out general thigns that have been overlooked in the past before its really good for the so called 'spirited' driving. i.e machining brakes, replaceing wheel bearings and re bushing front and rear.

Looks good, but I can see some issues in the engine bay.

1st off it looks like a bigport (unless it has the external oil drain/breather at rear right of head - if it does then it's a smallport).
2nd - I saw your tech question thread, and this might explain some of the problem. The main issue i see is your loom has an injector reistor pack wired into a normal bluetop loom with grey injectors. It's power feed is setup wrong (someone has used the wrong wiring diagram and made their own loom for the later style of injectors into the early style loom - ive seen this before and the car ran like shit, they kept trying to adjust the tps but could never get it right). The distributor cap is also the wrong one, it should be a jdm rwd cap and not a fwd cap.

Best bet is to find another loom from an ae82 4age bluetop and wire it in (unless you have limited electrical knowledge, find someone to give you a hand).

    nah tis standard radiator.

Nikkojoe, your a fucking legend. ive been trying to get answers from so many people that arnt just 'check your timimng' or 'its cos your tps is fucked'
ill definately look into this more.
ive been trying to search for a bit but not really having success, do you hvae any links to the proper wiring diagram for my injectors?

    thankyou too much

    EDIT: is definately a bigport

One thing i realised it may be a later model loom and they just modfied the plugs to fit earlier, smaller cc injectors. If you can find the ecu and get the toyota p/n off the cover (not the denso one, toyota one will be 5digits a dash and 5 more digits) and i'll tell you what exactly is going on.

Fuel starving makes me think that its probably a newer ecu from a redtop bigport which had ~190cc injectors and different impediance (compared to bluetop grey injectors which are 182cc).

EDIT: Pink injectors are 200cc and 2.7ohm (round plug)
Grey Injectors are 182cc and 2.0ohm (square plug)
