    Default T50 Speed Sensor

Hey I just bought myself a haltech display dash to go with my haltech sport 1000. The speedo sensor on my T50 gearbox is a mechanical one and wont work with my new dash. I was wondering if the ae86's with the digital dash have a electronic or mechanical sensor on the gearbox?

    Cheers,
    Steve

How ironic, to get the electronic speedo signal, you use the sensor in the dash, which you want to pull out and replace with the haltech.

The best thing I can suggest is to go buy a reed switch and 4 magnets and make a doohicky that acts like a elec. speed sensor.

Wish Racepak or Haltech's site provided more info about required signals.

That is a very good option, or you can use an MX83 speedo sensor, that just screws onto the existing bit, like so:

Yer i seen that on toymods, Just thought if the digital dash ae86's were electronic speedo would be easier.
    Thanks for the help anyways
