try taking the line off the charcoal canister for a short test and see if it still does it, the line from the tank to it that is.
Well i have been putting up with this for a while, but basically my fuel tank is being pressurised.
So when opening the filler cap there is a massive rush of fumes/air and one time i opened it i had fuel pour out of the tank.
My current setup is:
stock adm tank
carter lift pump
shakotan garage surge tank
040 bosch pump
going to a stock 20v
I have the charcoal canister hooked up to the breather line on the tank, and the output of the charcoal canister is hooked up to one of the vacume lines.
I dont know what the go is, i did change the fuel cap changed for a bit then started to pressurise again.
Any ideas?

So this is a bad thing? My stock 86 does this everyweek when I go in for a week for a fill up, bit to the extent of fuel pouring out though.
Seems to be a toyota thing. All my 86's did it, my IS200 does it and my sister's 2010 corolla does it.
All other cars seem to vent it out better....

my jzx100 never does it.......mind you for the last 3 months it hasnt been hot enough where i am to really create a problem
Car is going through the motions of a respray at the moment so i will try that as soon as its back on the road
i am a little worried about petrol fumes in the engine bay tho :|
Yer mine does it every time.
Not to the point of pushing fuel out or anything though? How much fuel was in the tank at the time?
i have had this happen to me twice where fuel has come out of the tank. i have run compressed air through the lines to make sure they were clean and it didn't happen for quite some time but eventually did... i haven't really fixed the problem but i'v stopped it by only filling the car up 3/4.
the car was almost full, was going to siphon fuel out for the pocket bike.
are you running the 4ac stock tank and using the breather as the return?
