    Default turbo coolant lines

quick question about how to get coolant to my turbo on my 16v 4age. i am running genuine rwd water inlet outlet and thermostat setup with no heater btw.

im just not sure of the flow of the coolant through the engine. by this i mean should i feed the coolant from the small pipe that comes out of the back of the thermostat which is located at the front of the engine or does the coolant flow the opposite way and i should run the coolant feed from the rear of the head.

here is the picture for reference.
    bottom inlet with thermostat

    rear outlet

any help would be appreciated as i would like to finish this engine off these holidays and get my cooler piping fabricated.

also where would i put the coolant return into?

    cheers

Rear of head is an outlet, pipe from rear of the pump housing is an inlet/return.

People set it up this way, however from what I see the side inlet/return should always get cooler water. The water after turbo will probably be marginally hotter than the current water but there is a chance it will be re-circulated back into engine. Although people say its fine, I will see what happens when I get mine going (going to set it up this way). If i find it too hot for my liking, i'll change the return point somewhere else.

thanks for that man, so i feed the turbo from the rear of the head and return it to the front of the head near the bottom radiator hose/thermostat part? im thinking about getting a plate welded over both inlet outlet parts and a braided line fitting put on there, is that something like what you were doing?
