Digital dash

hey guys as you know i have a 4ac ae86 adm 1983. My mate has a spare digital dash from his 1983 mkII celica/supra. what is need to put that dash in? is it possible with the 4ac. and what is al the required parts. part names and what from + part #'s would be amazing and greatly appreciated. also a wiring diagram.

Doubt it will fit/work with your car. People put the digital dash in from an ae86, not a celica/supra. You're better off getting the fuel sender(hardest part to get) off him and then finding an ae86 digital cluster.

There are wiring diagrams/guides on the internet, or find one with a complete dash loom. It will work with a 4ac regardless (only have a problem when you start using a multi coil setup, although it aint that hard to fix).

oh really? dash looks identical, and considering same year toyota, figues it would probably be the same. found this forum topic digi dashes;

I think the only similarity is they're both digital and made by toyota. I have no idea what wiring changes would be needed to make it work, but just looking at the difference in shape puts it in the "not worth it" basket for me.

im also looking at doing this change over, the only thing im not sure about is the loom. the link above gives a wiring plan but it shows 2 connector for the analog cluster and two for the digital cluster. therefore my question is, as my digital cluster has only the 1 connector do i just splice and solider the wires to the 1 connector??

One plug is the same design to the analogue, the other is different (however it has external wires which plug into the rear of the cluster so you can solder onto them i guess). You need to repin and solder both connectors.
