Hey guys can you rotate turbo housing ? ive got a t25g and i need to rotate it 180 degrees so the drain is on bottom, ive undone all the bolts on the turbo to see if it rotates and it still doesnt want to !! ive used hammers etc to shock it but it wont turn , now i am wondering if the t25g series can rotate at all ?

if you have undone all the correct nuts, and the surclip, it should turn. You want it so the outlet/intercooler pipe faces down. I then, positioned the actuator where it will work and the bolted (drilled 2 holes) the actuator mount to the (approx 1cm ) edge of the compressor housing (edge faces rear of car). Be careful here, you need the right sized bolts (length and width) or you might fuck something. I then cut the actuator ROD, and welded it together so it was the right length...

I did this 3 years ago (and had NO problems), so iam trying to remember what i did....I am not the best at explaining stuff, but i will get those photos for you in the next few days (very busy at work).

Dude, be careful smashing it with hammers and shit! They can rotate, my mate did it to his. But he sold it to some idiot who beat the shit out of it trying to rotate it again to fit his car, it didn't budge for him either so he took it to a shop, and they did it properly, think they had to heat it up first, but it was too late he had already f**ked the turbo from beating it sensless trying to rotate it!

heating it might damage it, what? as opposed to the 400-600deg c it'll will see while it's on the car.
just heat the houseing, you won't damage it.

Benno is correct. the turbo is proberly the hottest part of the car! I doubt you could even find a way to heat it as much as it would in action.....

sorry about the delay with the photos, i dont even have time to scratch my nuts, let alone take photos. I will take em on the weekend....

BUT, I dont think heating it will help tho............
Can YOU take photos of what your doing? i might be able to help you more that way, for now anyway......
