What is the yellow plug btw ? what is its purpose cold start ?

I cut the throttle pedal end off the inner, slid it out, then cut the outer down, then cut the inner down by the same amount minus 6cm before putting it back in and squashing a fishing sinker over the end and covering it in solder.
