<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tyrie @ Jan 11 2008, 02:04 PM) </div>Best of luck to you, i have no idea about the S/c plugs question.
There are PLENTY of people on here that have / are building 4AGTE's, have a browse through the members rides.
Hi all, I'm currently converting my 4agze to turbo and have a few questions, I'll be adding new questions to this thread as I come across things I cant figure out.
1)The breather from rocker cover to inlet manifold has a one-way valve and the motor came with that, but I'm not sure if it will work? It stops boost from entering the rocker covers and allows excess crankcase pressure to vent into the inlet, but when the throttle is closed wont it just suck oil/air out of the crankcase?? Would I be better off running the rocker cover breather to a catch can and plugging the inlet manifold?
2) Turbo water lines... Where do I get the water from? I have two water lines (for heater), one in and one out. Can I put a T-piece in each and use that as the water supply for the turbo? Or should water only flow through the heater pipes when the heater is switched on?
3) all the supercharger specific plugs, specifically the s/c switch and some electrical vacuum thing that was bolted to the s/c, can I just leave them unplugged?
I'm sure there will be more questions, but for now if anyone can offer an opinion or say how you went about any of the above, that would be sweet

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
I need this information also would be greatly appreciated![]()
cheers Javal, I've just read through the turbo thread in tech articles and everyone seems to use heater hoses
Another question,
The standard alternator has one big plug with 3 spade connections in it, my alternator has two threaded connections labelled B+ and D+, and one spade connection labelled M. Can anyone suggest which wires from the plug go to which connections on the new alternator?
I once tried trial and error to figure it out and ended up replacing a melted loom
What does B+, D+ and M mean?
B+ = Battery positive?
D+ = ?
M = ?
The best thing that I can suggest if you want best value is to run an After market ECU and get rid of the pooh loom.
If you use the one you have now.. the plugs for the SC will just need to be disconnected. All that is is a -ve switched circuit from the ecu that turns on and off the magnet in the SC clutch at certain RPM points. this wont effect anything. as for the vacum parts. just take them all off and block up any wholes.
cool thanks, I'm running an Autronic SMC, with the loom it was running on the GZE.
hey, feel free to come and look at my setup, iam only in kambah.........
1974 MX22 MARK II CORONA HARDTOP COUPE - Awaiting a full restoration
B+ is always battery +ve
the other 2 will be warning light and ignition on
I THINK d+ is ignition on and M is warning light, but im not 100%
ill have to check on my car, as i made a custom engine bay loom, and i can remember making the loom for the alternator
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (slide86 @ Jan 12 2008, 12:48 AM) </div>That would be awesome if you could do that
Is there a wiring diagram somewhere that says which of those wires is which in the standard toyota alternator plug?
Maxhag I'll take you up on that offer next week sometime.
There's a couple of vacuum lines on the top of the throttle body, should these all be blocked off, or should they be used for something?
