Hey all, Whats the power at the flywheel for a Ae101 Gze if anyone has exact factory specs?
i was Told 175 hp which is about 130kw

On billzilla.org its quoted at 145hp, however it does not mention whether this is from the fly or wheels... i would assume he ment flywheel as he stated it as 'claimed' ie from the factory...

If anyone can shed some light on what power they have it would be really helpful as i am comparing it to that of a ca18det conversion.... I think Ca18det is 130kw at flywheel, so if gze is 130kw that just makes the choice as there is alot less customiseation required.
If Gze is still only slightly under the power of a ca18det it still might be worth it, but i need a good comparison so i can make an educated descision as to which would be the best choice.

    Cheers All

    Grant

    4 versions of the 4AGZE.

Bigport from AW11 MR2 = The only model with a Distributor.
Bigport early Ae92 = CAS DLI coil packs.
Smallport late Ae91 = CAS DLI coil packs.
Smallport Ae101 = CAS DLI coil packs.

Apparently Ae92 bigports have thicker rods than say a Ae101 smallport.

GZE KE70, true there are 4 versions, but the bigports had the same power output so i just classed them as one(8.0:1 comp). Also to note bigports are afm, smallports are map.

125kw is just around 170hp, the claimed kw for a CA is 130 so i figure there is no point in datsuning up if its that close.
Plus the awesome thing is it all bolts up of course, don't have to get new exhaust and i think i can get away with keeping the mod plate for my 16v

I saw on another site which i have the link at home for stating that the hp for ae101 gze is 170 so that sounds alot better than 145 lol

IMO it depends if you are happy with factory power. If you are then go the GZE, if you want more go the CA.
